How To Cold Brew and Why!

No need to boil water and then chill with the risk of watering down your tea. Cold brewing is a smoother tasting tea since tannins, which make tea bitter, aren't steeped out of the tea in cold water as they are in hot water.

With the hot summer months approaching us it is the perfect time to gather up your mason jars or favorite pitcher and start keeping refreshing and flavorful cold drinks on hand!

Here is what you will need:

Your favorite HMS Teas (all our teas can be cold brewed)

A large tea ball, glass or pitcher with infuser, empty fillable tea bags, or even a French press!

Filtered water

That's if well and of course a refrigerator and some time!

Instructions :

For one 8 oz glass of cold brew tea; fill 2 Tsp of tea into your choice of infuser

Place tea in your glass - Pour in cold filtered water to the top - place in the refrigerator for 8-12 hours

Take out glass and remove tea - Congratulations you now have a wonderful glass of cold tea

Make More Than Just One Glass

2 Teaspoons of loose leaf tea to every 6 - 8 ounces of cold water!

Store in refrigerator up to 4 days or fill ice cube trays to make ice tea cubes!

To sweeten use a liquid sugar or add the amount of sweetener or honey you desire into a Tablespoon of Hot water to dissolve, add to your tea, stir, and Enjoy!
